The Bemba power figures differ from those of the Kongo peoples in that the medicine is placed in the trunk (legs and pedestal) of the figure rather than in the stomach and head. Bemba power figures are usually small and used by individuals only. The eyes of this figure would have been covered in glass so that the spirits could look out or so that the witch could look into them and predict if a battle was to be successful or not..
