Biography: Anderson Mukomberanwa was one of the brightest young
artists to emerge from the Zimbabwe Stone Sculpture movement, and
his recent untimely death from Cancer has left a void in the world
of Zimbabwe art.
Anderson was a strong, quiet man who was never afraid to experiment
and who refused to stand in the shadow of his father Nicholas. Anderson
developed a unique and vibrant style all his own, experimenting
with sculpture, sketching, painting, and printmaking. To see Anderson's
work is to know Anderson, and his work is deep and rich.
